Course Details

For those wanting to take the first step in a career in accountancy or to prepare school -leavers and mature students for employment in accounting departments of commercial, industrial or public sector organisations or in the offices of practicing accountants.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the operational aspects of maintain accounting systems and procedures relating to invoicing, receipts and payments, recording income and expenditure and preparation of ledger accounts and trial balance.
  • Understand how organizations record, analyze and report current and future costs, maintaining an effective accounting system, prepare yearend financial statements, computation of tax.
  • Understand the way organizations finance their operations, plan and control cash flows, optimize the use of working capital and allocate resources to capital expenditure projects.
